In part one of this article series, we talked about how success is an idea. It’s an idea that has been cultivated by people and passed on. For some, they just CANNOT experience success unless… (fill in the blank).

What we talked about and I’m reminding you in this article is:

You can DECIDE what success is to YOU.

In order to do this, we must look at success, as the idea that it is, and what it means to you.

What NEEDS to happen for you to experience success?

Actually, let’s go even deeper…what IS success to YOU?

I’m sure you’ve been told something by your family, parents, friends, and teachers.

So let’s start here.

Try the following exercise:

1. Write down what your parents told you about success and what would constitute a successful life to them.
2. Write down what your friends consider to be success.
3. Write down what society defines as success.

If you do this simple exercise, it can be quite revealing. First of all, you’ll become conscious of what “Rules” have been set by others as far as HOW you can experience and WHAT success is.

This in and of itself can be very enlightening. Essentially, you’re becoming aware of the “programs” that exist in your inner world as well. That’s the trick. You see, even though the exercise asks you to write down what you were told about success…it still is YOU who is recalling and writing down the answers.

In other words, all of these ideas exist inside of you. Even though the current form they exist in is from these people, they take up space in your Unconscious Mind.

This brings us to an essential realization and principle that is going to allow you to experience more EASE as you create the life you love…effortlessly…and it’s this:

The Self-Fulfilling Prophecy Principle

The Self-Fulfilling Prophecy Principle states:

“I am not who I think I am. I am not who you think I am. I am who I think you think I am.”
